OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :'(
David caught a viral infection. Again. It's really weird, coz these viral infections only show up on weekends. Therefore, me and Sharmo have come to the conclusion that David's actually the Las Vegas of the viral world. Weekend holidays for viruses. Y'know, "Viralville", to quote my darling cousin. And I must say, their timing is impeccable. Seems they know their host is more than happy to get sick on Sunday, and recover on Tuesday. LOL.
OH NO! Elliott's GONE!!! *sobs heart out* How COULD they?! HOW COULD THEY?! Oooooh the agony!! Sigh. I've decided I'm in the Soul Patrol camp. I think Kat's a little too full of herself for me. Much like Nita, except that Kat actually HAS a reason to be. Blah. But still, being full of yourself is no good in my books. But OOOOHHHH ELLIOTTT!!! *cries heart out*
Oh, I only know this coz I've been on the Idol webbie. Don't know if I'm gonna be home in time to catch the result show and there is NO WAY IN HELL I could wait til 8.
Yes I know I'm an addict.
Ah hell. I'm depressed now. I think I better go off. Sigh.
For the record, I seem to be having a thing for Canadian guys I can't see. Bah. Bloody Luc's spoiled me. Dammit.
Okaaay. No more nonsense. I promise.
Buhbye.

Of 1st and 3rd Generation Women.. Sorta :)
OHMIGOSH.
I have a niece! That's an amazing thing in itself... Wow. You have no idea how exciting it is to have a new generation in the family. We're now back to having 3 generations!! Woooohooo!!!
And yeah - I'm her godmother :D Only thing I don't like about the role is the fact that people are referring to me as the "Godmother" (as in the "Godfather" *rolls eyes at the utter lameness of it*), courtesy of one Beng Beng a.k.a Teddy. He's, of course, promised me he'll never call me that again but... That's one promise he has yet to keep. YOU HEAR, BENG WEI?! [Su, help me out here. LOL.]
Anyway, back to the topic at hand... I want to see the kid so badly. Unfortunately something ALWAYS comes up. Sigh. First my grandma, now David's sick. I can't believe I haven't seen my goddaughter yet and she's been in this world for 2 whole weeks! I'm such a failure. *sniffles*
But needless to say, we're all so excited about having a little niece to dote upon. The way things are going now, she'll probably be spoiled rotten by the time she's old enough to say "mama". Haha... Having 15 aunties can do that to a kid :) Especially since at least 3 of those aunties have very soft spots for kids. Luckily though, most of her aunts are still teenagers, so we can't spoil her THAT much. Yet. Hehe.
Okay, this post is just for me to kill time... but funnily enough, I already love that kid without even seeing her. I suppose that's what family is, huh? :)
Goodnight all!
Oh and, one more thing:
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mothers!!!!
And just so the whole world knows,
I HAVE THE BEST MOTHER IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!
I do, and you'd better believe it!
Okay, signing off now. Goodnight again! :)

YES!
ELLIOTT IS IN THE FINAL 3!!!!!!
Woooohooooo!
Okay, so I'm hoping like CRAZY he'll go all the way.. Fingers crossed people!
And remember: This is a singing contest, not a Mr. Universe contest - so there!
I LOVE ELLIOTT YAMIN! WoooooH!
Just So You Know..
Sigh.
Anyway, I guess I should let all you people know this (yes, especially those who still seem to think I'm hung up on "someone"). I'm over him. 100%. I know you guys find it a bit hard to believe me, but please. Do. For both our sakes. Do the words "just friends" mean anything to you? And that's all we'll ever be.
And I've realised that I like the single life too much to want any form of relationship right now. Took me 19 years to reach that conclusion, but what the heck. It's a good one and I'm sticking to my resolve. This time. (Right, Ju, you can stop rolling your eyes right about now :P)
It's an amazing feeling, y'know? This whole being crushless thing. Now I'm free to er... "sight-see" :P *winks at Steph* We should go do that more often, girl! Haha.
I loved catching up with Jen, Ee May and Dav last Saturday. After which Dav, Jen and me went to the Evergreen hair saloon and did our hair. Just for the heck of it :P That was some random fun, eh girls? :)
Oh! And Ju's coming back in... just a little more than 2 weeks time. I CAN'T WAIT! My bestest friend in the whole wide world is coming back!!!! *giggles* I couldn't possibly sound more like a 7 year old now, could I? Oh well. But I AM glad she's coming back. And for THREE MONTHS! Oh boy, the awesomeness. [Must feel good to know you're missed so much, hey Julesy? :P And all this in spite of the fact that you liked the school cat more than me... *grins*]
Okay. Duty done for the day. Don't you DARE say I never update, Jules! ;)
And yeah, a reminder : I AM OVER HIM.
Thank you.

I Posted! I POSTED!
You know, it's weird. I'm changing. Pretty drastically, actually. I'm so reclusive now, it's bordering on the scary. I'm not writing anymore, and what I DO write is.. well, not worth reading, really.
Ah, self-pity is a beautiful thing, is it not? We should all wallow in it. Makes us better people. Really. You should try it sometime.
Now, is it not obvious that I've lost my mind?
Sigh. Why oh why did I choose Form 6? Should've just done psychology and be done with it. Unfortunately we live in Malaysia, where we have more nuts than nut houses and even less people who want to help them.
Oh, and not to mention that most nuts don't want to acknowledge their nuttiness. I'm just glad that the nuts I know actually LIKE being nuts, and admit to it. Otherwise I'd be pretty darned lonely. Hehe. Although.. I'm not so sure I want THESE nuts helped. They're much funner as nuts. Dontcha think so?
Lordy. It's been ages since I've written about nuts. Must've been in Form 5 the last time I did that. Sigh. It seems ages ago. I FEEL SO OLD! I'm 3 months closer to being 20. TWENTY!
ARRRGHHHHHH!
Am I overreacting? Am I? AM I?
I KNOW it's a little too early to be freaking out, but.. dammit. I don't want to grow up. I want to stay a kid. Forever.
No, scratch that. I like some of the stuff that comes with being older. Like being able to go out without being called every 2 seconds by worried parents. Like playing footsie which gorgeous guys under a table at Coffee Bean. (Yes, Jenna.. it happened ;P). Like finding out that I don't know of a single guy I would want to date on a long term basis. Or one who has the power to make me want him, for that matter. Oops. Am I supposed to be being positive here? Sorry.
It's so frustrating! The first guy I can actually see myself being cosy with is halfway across the world.. and the likelihood of either of us budging is.. well.. zero to none. SO THE SAD LA I TELL YOU!
*sniffles*
Haha.. Okay. Griping quota over for the day. Ahh.. it's good to gripe every once in awhile. Okay. Every twice, thrice or quadrupice in awhile. HAHA. KOK PUN! All your fault. I'm getting lamer by the second!
(I particularly like the random thought progression, don't you? :P)
I'll wrap up with this:
Elaine's Guide To Clueless Guys:
1. Pick up on the small things, little things she says and does that give you hints of who she is. Believe me, she'll appreciate it a hell of a lot more than 100 roses that wilt faster than you can say "humid".
2. She's gotta be a perfect 10 - or over that, prefarably - to you. Otherwise she'll always feel less than adequate. And if she is anything but beautiful in your eyes, chances are you don't love her as much as you'd like to think you do. Oh, and she'll know it, too!
3. Say clever but sweet things. Remember secret jokes and remind her of them. She'll be thrilled that you remember.
4. Compliment her SINCERELY! If you exaggerate or make your compliments all flamboyant and too far-fetched (even for an apparently love-struck male), she'll never know when you're being serious and when you're not. And she'll end up being unsure of how real your compliments are.
Those are just a few tips I could think of. I know I'm fussy, but I believe in all or nothing. There was once a guy did all of the above, and believe me, it was AMAZING. Pity 'bout the circumstances, though.
Oh gosh. This one's a long one. I think I'd better stop, or you guys will wish I'll never write again. Ever.
Haha.
Bye, babes!

The 21st Day
*sobs* *heart breaks*
Ah melodrama. How I miss the days when I could do it properly. God, I used to be such a drama queen! I wonder where that part of me's gone...
ANYWAY.
Time to catch up on stuff... 3 whole weeks of it! *shakes head in wonder*
Random Things Elaine Thinks You Should Know Whether You Want To Or Not
1. Rat dissection isn't as gross as one would think it is. Aside from the fact after about 5 minutes they start to stink like soiled sanitary napkins. And we have to continue cutting them up for at least another 1/2 an hour. Or more. If you're fastidious enough to endure the stink.
I'm not exactly proving my case, am I? Lol.
2. I've written Jules TWICE, but haven't gotten 'round to posting them letters yet *sheepish grin* So Ju, if you're suddenly flooded with letters, you'll know what happened :P
3. Elaine has just discovered that she can cry - because of a song! And no, it isn't one about heartbreak, either. She cries to Michael Bolton's Butterfly Kisses.
[The reason Elaine has switched to the 3rd person is self-explanatory.]
4. Oh! Big news! I am currently crush free! Yep, folks. The all-time crush maniac has taken a much needed vacation. And for those of you who don't believe me - well, BELIEVE ME, dammit!
Lol.
5. As I'm sure you all know, point No. 4 is - under normal circumstances - a near impossibility. Therefore, said person has been diagnosed with a severe case of "romance-novelitis". What is THAT, you might ask. Well, it is a condition caused by the reading of too many, well, romance novels.
And the problem with that is... This. The guys in romance novels (as any girl will tell you) are virtually PERFECT. Smart, sensitive, funny, strong, understanding, romantic, gorgeous, TALL, and COMPLETELY masculine. Oh, and most of them can cook, too.
Of course, to find someone like that in real life is... also a near impossibility. No one said the patient wasn't delusional. It just means that the guys she knows don't cut it - for now.
[For the record, though, this diagnosis is merely temporary. I'm more than sure the symptoms will let up after awhile. After all, this IS Ms. Elaine Fernandez we're talking about!]
6. I miss MGS soooo much! I do I do I surely do! I miss prefect briefings every morning (even though we had to be in school before 7 a.m.), I miss grumbling about everything from our juniors, to boys, to teachers.., I miss laughing and talking and laughing some more with the Insanely Sane, I miss choir practice, and most of all, I miss the CLOSENESS. Ah, MGS. Truly, the MGS spirit never dies in true MGSians. No, sirree!
[Is it just me or does my writing style really change with each paragraph? :S]
7. I love American Idol this year. I want Elliott to win, of course, but I think the Top 6 are all fantastic in their own way, and as long as Kellie doesn't win, I'll be happy. Lol.
Okay. I'm gonna have coffee with me mum. Excuse me while I argue with her about who has to make the coffee this time. (It's HER turn, I swear it is!)
Bye people! Until next time... (Which won't be too long away... I hope :P)

I Back
Well, for the time being anyway. I can't believe I haven't blogged for so long.. It's weird to start again. Sigh. That's the whole problem with not having regular access to a computer. When I DO get on, I rarely have the time - or the urge, for that matter - to write anything.
The couple of weeks when I DIDN'T write, I had so much that I wanted to write. Now, though, it's just all flown out of my head. Sigh. Sad, ain't it.
One of the few nice things that've happened over these past 2 weeks or so is the fact that I got to play netball again, if only for awhile. Gosh, I love that game! Maybe it's coz it's one of the few - FEW, mind - games that I'm relatively good at. Oh, and I've been asked to coach the school netball team. LOL! Beat that :P I was shocked, too. I know, I know. DON'T LAUGH!
Oh, ol' Sharm's gone for National Service, the poor bored soul. But goodness. I think I saw her almost everyday, the 2 months or so that she was around. Was like she never left :) Although.... my cash DID run out pretty quickly. Both of us, actually. Accumulated mamak trips can turn out to be darned hard on the slow-to-be-refilled pocket.
7 months to go til D Day. Seven. Tujuh. Sieben. Or however it's spelt. Gosh oh gosh. That ain't all that much time, come to think of it. Which is both a blessing and a curse, I guess. Although it'll ened soon, it also means less time to prepare. And boy, do I have my work cut out for me! And the miniscule number of people getting straight As are pretty discouraging too. I know getting A minuses or Bs are already pretty darn good for this standard, but to get a 4.0 is the only way anyone is even guaranteed consideration to courses of our choice in uni. Sigh.
Oh well. I hope I can write again soon, and about something more worth reading, too. Seems like I don't have much to say anymore. Sigh. Oh WHAT is happening to my writing?! *sniffles*
All righty then. G'night.

Updato!
Anyhow, a recap of the odd things that've happened this past 2 weeks.
- Being broke in Sunway Pyramid. Literally. Sharm and I had only 60 cents between us by the end of the day. We had to buy dinner with a McD's coupon for crying out loud! God bless free refills!
- I now officially have mum's car with me in PJ. HAHA! Awesome, no? Although... I don't exactly have time to appreciate the actual awesomeness of it all...
- One week before exam. 3 days of maxed out pain. Get-out-of-bed-and-risk-spewing-bile grade pain. And on the days I'd scheduled to study Chemistry, too. Not surprising that my teacher just informed my friend and me that, "if either of you get over 50, you should belanja (re: treat) each other!" OUCH!
- I have just proven my theory that if you've got an amazing singing voice, but look like a Middle Eastern pixie, I'll fall in love with you anyway. LONG LIVE ELLIOT YAMIN! (Maybe being a dentist's daughter has a something to do with it.. those teeth! They're a goldmine! *cackles*)
- I have actually found my perfect guy. Physically, that is. And dammit. I cannot get my hands on him! That, folks, is the most frustrating thing - EVER. And no, he's no celeb.
- I'm losing my patience. I have quite a short temper to begin with. And it's getting shorter by the day. I'll blow myself up one of these days if I'm not careful.
- I have a screwed up bowling average. The mean of my scores is not in the least reliable. I shall have to make a chart and find the median. And possibly make a boxplot.
Oh gosh. You know I'm losing it if I voluntarily talk about Math. I shall stop here. Will update when I feel like it. Which may not be so soon at the rate I'm going these days. Sigh.
Whatever the case... I love you ALL! Much peace and love all around. Whee.

Matthew Macfadyen Is SO HOT!!!!
*swoons*
Oh, and for those uninformed, he's the guy who played Mr. Darcy. But oh woe is me! He's married. Sigh.
Okay. I'm being ridiculous. But honestly.. DAMN! Vinder baby you were SO right. I love love love love love the guy!
So much for not being ridiculous. Muahahaha!
I know this is a sorry excuse of a post, but I'm not much in a writing mood right now so.... Will write when I actually feel like it!

V Day!
To all of you who have Valentines - LUCKY YOU.
To the rest of you (me included.. lol) - just be happy that you don't have to fork out big bucks today! [Save that for my birthday! *insert innocent, angelic face* Hehehe.]
I love you guys!!!

The JETTY!

The (in)famous jetty! Doesn't it look awesome? And believe me, it's even better when you're there!
We took loads of *ahem* amazing pictures there (cam whores that we are).. But I have yet to receive them from Steph, so I'll only be able to put 'em up when I do.
Anyway, short one this time. Gotta go back to PJ.

No!
Oh lord. I can't think, I can't feel.. Or maybe it's just that I'm feeling too much. It's insane. I don't want to feel this way. I want it to stop.
Why did I let myself fall into this trap? I knew it would lead nowhere - I KNEW. But I still went ahead and did it. Now I'm stuck in a quagmire of "could have been"s. It isn't pleasant. No sirree.
Do you know the feeling of wanting to cry but never being able to? Of having only one thing on your mind all the damn day long? And worse - of wanting something you know you can never ever have, not in this lifetime, unless some change of fate and circumstance allows it.
Dammit. Why did I allow myself to get into this? Knowing the consequences. I'd do anything - ANYTHING to get back that chance... or even to create a new one. But I can't. It's out of my power - no longer my decision. And the decision was made.
So it was not meant to be. I should just swallow it up and face up to it. It's difficult. It's damned difficult.
To see him, just to hear his voice one more time.. Damn. I really would do anything. But now, it's too late.
He's gone.

Super Bowl!
AH! Yes. On Friday night, we had another bowling competition - uncles and aunts versus the cousins. We played two games - the first for supper (winners choose, losers pay), and for the second, the losers payed for the game. And guess WHAT, baby?? WE WON BOTH! Hahahaha! In the Pyramid lanes too! Bloody international lanes, baby! Who da man, eh, who da MAN! Haha.
LOL.
Okay, that paragraph was just plain weird. Anyhow, since we won and all, we chose to go to T.G.I Friday's. Haha. Yep.... we chose one of the most expensive places open at that hour ('bout 11 something p.m.). Poor souls had to spend almost RM 400 on our dinner. Haha. We were meanies - we ordered SOOOO much...
Anyway, we just had a replay (i.e., Saturday night). Two more games, same concept. Except that this time, we won the first, lost the second. But that's also because we became complacent when we were in the lead... Sigh. Oh well. At least we didn't have to pay for supper! (Which was in Lotus, PJ New Town).
All in all, the last two days have served to be a welcome distraction. Otherwise, I think too much about him and what could be and I start screwing myself up. But, God help me, he's hot!
MU vs Fulham's going on, and MU is currently 2 goals up in the 20th minute. Wooohooo! I shall stop now to go watch the rest of it. Buhbye darlings!

Melancholy Day
Oh it's not like anything BAD has happened. Quite the contrary. At least, it's happened for the better. I should be grateful, really. It could be much worse.
Now before I start scaring you guys, I'm all right. I just need to wake up a little. It's been a rough couple of days. But I guess I'll get over it soon enough.
It's a tough thing to swallow, reality is. Maybe this'll help me get my head out of the clouds a little. They certainly aren't doing me any good, these clouds. I should stop dreaming. Concentrate on what's real in the world, not what's all made up in my head.
I wish I could think of a way to make myself feel better. But as usual I can't. So I'll just go exchange my vouchers for some booksies, and hope that'll take my mind off things. Yeah.
God, I should stop doing this to myself.

Bowling Fiasco! (Coz We Lost... :P)
O'course, us having just bowled on Sunday, thought that we'd be in for an easy win... But our star bowlers kept missing the target while the uncle we thought wouldn't be a threat beat our highest scorers by 19 points. BLAH. Talk about memalufying! :P
But it was good fun... Especially coz everyone was so into it. We were screaming, yelling, booing, high-fiving.. so much so that everyone around us - including those waiting for lanes - actually came to see what the hell was going on, we were that noisy :D
Although.. I don't know why I'm surprised. We seem to attract attention wherever we go.... singing Backstreet Boys and Barney songs at the top of our lungs in a seafood restaurant, greeting ol' Sharmo with banners and flowers and screaming like she was some big celebrity person at the airport... Loads more. Just can't remember them now, we've done stuff like this sooooo many times!
Oh! I like his voice... I don't know why. Now it's time to see if it suits his face :D
Saiful's song, Ku Juga Mencintaimu is pretty nice, considering it's SAIFUL. I'll put up the chorus of it and translate it.. Ta people!
Ku juga mencintai dirimu
Mengapa sukar ku luahkan
Bukan sengaja ku menahan
Bibir membeku lidah terkelu
Ku juga mencintai dirimu
Kau amat sempurna buatku
Bukan saja aku biarkan
Kan ku ucap jua padamu
I love you too
Why is it so hard for me to say
I'm not holding back on purpose
My lips are frozen, my tongue is tied
I love you too
You're so perfect to me
I'm not just letting go
"As I've told you before" (I don't know for sure what this last line means... anyone? Help?)

The Rules of Chocolate!
Anyway, I got this from A Joke A Day, and I swear that anyone who's a chocoholic will agree with this, so.. enjoy! (And eat chocolates! :D)
-THE RULES OF CHOCOLATE-
1) If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.
2) Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.
3) The problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in hot car.
The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.
4)Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less.
5) A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?
6) If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?
7) Q. Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?
A. Because no one wants to quit.
8) Money talks. Chocolate sings. Beautifully.
9) Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger. Therefore, you need to eat more chocolate.
10) Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.
11) If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

Two Days To CNY... < 24 Hours To Vinder! :D
Malacca is what makes CNY so special - not only for me, I think but for all the kids in our family. At least the ones who were born in 1987 and after. Mama's house (dunno why we never called it "Kong Kong's house" .. lol), the food, the walks to Aunty Doreen's house (taking the longest route possible, at times..), the food, 20 people sharing one bathroom, the food, and last but not least.... The Jetty!
I know. We're obsessed with the jetty, but we have a reason to be. It's one of the nicest places in the world! To me, at least... and it's soooo romantic at night *sighs*
And you know what's going to make it THAT much better? VINDER's coming home!!! In less than 24 hours! OMG. Haha.. Man I sound like she's some sort of celebrity.. lol. Sorry Vin! Can't help it.. :) We'll all be together again! *dances around the room*
Oh and for those of you who want to know... The Pancake Cookies turned out just fine the second time 'round. Yummy yum yum! (Really.... They were excellent for novice bakers... and we did it all by ourselves! So THERE! :P)
Anyway... Wishing all you guys a very happy and properous (esp. in "Maths tuition" a.k.a gambling.. :P) Chinese New Year!!!!
PS: Anyone wants to give me any ang pow, you're totally welcome to! ;D

Pancake Cookies.. YUM! :D
Have you heard of pancake cookies? No? You should try em one day. They're Yin's and my invention. They're really good! Taste just like Famous Amos cookies. Except.. they're thinner. A LOT thinner.
In fact, they're flat. Skinny. I think the edge of one was only about 1 mm thick. *grins*
Wanna know the secret ingredient to making soft, skinny chocolate chip cookies? Oh whoops. I mean pancake cookies. (Sorry, my bad :P) I don't know if I should reveal it. Should I?
Okay. The secret to making cookies that spread out from individual, er, blobs, into "banjaran" lookalikes is... *drumroll*
CHEAP BUTTER!
Yep, that's right, folks. Butter that's more watery than margerine is the key to making really AWESOME pancake cookies. You can follow any old chocolate chip cookie recipes.. but make sure you use cheap butter for the BEST results! :D
Okay. I'm being stupid. But they were actually pretty nice? Right, Yin? Right? Right?
Haha. Whatever it is, we're giving it another shot this Saturday. Let's see if we can make NORMAL chocolate chip cookies this time 'round. Haha.
Wish us luck!

Wake Me Up!
I feel like I've been knocked on the head with those big bat things you see in Tom and Jerry cartoons. The kind that make you have birds flying round and round your head and your tongue stick out. I've been in such a daze lately it's freaky.
What's happening to me? My heart just suddenly speeds up, and big, silly grins cross my face, making me look like a weirded out clown. Not that I don't normally already look like one, but still...
"Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need". Hah! Prophetic indeed.
Reading doesn't help. (Maybe because all the books I have left to read are romance-based ones :S) Jumping around to Footloose and other random songs doesn't seem to work either. It just makes me wonder what it'd be like to jump around with... company.
Oh. AND it actually makes it worse that Holding Out For A Hero is on my favourite compilation. Hm... Maybe I should take it off repeat.
Oh I know I know. I'm doing this to myself. Well. Sort of. I guess. I make about as much sense as a two year old trying to read Shakespeare huh. Oh well.
I just wish I didn't have such an active and God help me, vivid, imagination. It really screws up my life. Oh, it HAS helped me get damn good grades in English, but other than that... Sigh Sigh and Sigh again.
Tis sad. I need a life. A life other than .. you know. The "life" I want right now. Whatever that means.
If I'm being a confusing prick again, forgive me. I'm probably just as confused as you are.
Oh watch Hitz.TV's Blast Off 2 if you're a Malaysian with Astro. It's good for a few laughs :D
I miss my baby. :(

Briefly..
Anyway.. I was thinking about old times, being on the MGS Prefectorial Board.. And I started to wonder if I could remember any of the "briefings" we used to do. Apparently, I can at the very least recall the general duties :D
I THINK I can remember some of the canteen duties, so I'll try typing out the duty for Canteen Position 2 ;) [Ju.. correct me if you can still remember yeah? ;P]
General Duties:
Be punctual for duty.
Be alert of rubbish and offenders.
Make sure position is clean.
Duty starts.. (er, I think it's 5 mins before recess starts.. but I can't remember :P)
Duty:
Position 2 is at the kuih and drinks stalls.
Max lines for the kuih stall are 3, max items are 2.
Max lines for the drinks stall are 2, max items are 2.
Make sure the girls line up while buying food.
Make sure they don't push each other.
Make sure they don't jump queue.
Make sure those who aren't buying food do not crowd around the stalls.
When the whistle is blown, stop the girls from buying.
Hurry the girls from the canteen.
When the last girl leaves the canteen, patrol for rubbish and utensils.
Return any found utensils to the basins.
Duty ends when counsellour says so.
Hehehehehe. Man. I think that's the lot.... but I can't be sure. Damn. Nostalgia is nice, but it's still mighty depressing. Sigh. I miss MGS!!!! :(

Point Of No Return...
Point Of No Return ~ Phantom Of The Opera OST
Phantom:
You have come here
In pursuit of your deepest urge
In pursuit of that wish which til now
Has been silent
Silent
I have brought you
That our passions may fuse and merge
In your mind you've already succumbed to me
Dropped all defenses
Completely succumbed to me
And now you are here with me
No second thoughts
You've decided
Decided..
Past the point of no return
No backward glances
Our games of make-believe are at an end
Past all thought of if or when
No use resisting
Abandon thought and let the dream descend
What raging fire shall flood the soul
What rich desire unlock its door
What sweet seduction lies before us
Past the point of no return
The final threshold
What warm unspoken secrets will we learn
Beyond the point of no return
Christine:
You have brought me
To that moment where words run dry
To that moment where speech disappears into silence
Silence
I have come here
Hardly knowing the reason why
In my mind I've already imagined
Our bodies entwining
Defenceless and silent
Now I am here with you
No second thoughts
I've decided
Decided..
Past the point of no return
No going back now
Our passion play has now at last begun
Past all thought of right or wrong
One final question
How long should we two wait before we're one
When will the blood begin to race
A sleeping bud burst into bloom
When will the flames at last
Consume us
Both:
Past the point of no return
The final threshold
The bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn
We've passed the point of no return

Ooh Whhyyy??!!
Or what if it's all just a dream? Admittedly, an amazing, wonderful dream.. but still just a dream. How can it be real, when all I have to go on is an image built up in my mind by my own imagination?
It might be accurate - or it might not. It might even be better than I ever thought it could be. Or it could turn out to be nothing more than a fantasy.
And that's scary. Because so much has been put into it.. It's constantly on my mind, refusing to let up. How do you let go of something that's become a part of you? And if it goes naturally, will it leave a deeper emptiness than before?
Hell. Mountains out of molehills, I know. But I just had to write this. It's killing my mind, thinking about it. Sometimes I curse the vividness of my imagination. It makes me wish for so much more... Okay. So I don't exactly help matters by encouraging it...
Oh well. I guess I should quit being such a loon. Whatever happens, happens. It's not like anything but a potentially explosive.. er.. something-or-other, is at stake here.
Hold on while I screw my head back on straight.
There. That's better. But wait. Damn! This odd apprehension is still there.. Sigh. Oh what am I going to doooo?
I guess only time will tell. I should really stop agonizing over this. I should. Hm. Easier said than done.
Oh bloody hell.

My Luvlies...

I Ting, me, David and I Yin.. Missing are Steph, Sharm and Sheryll. The three "S"-es. LOL. That doesn't mean like it sounds, btw ;)
Me, Ee May and Adrien! My gorgeous buddies! I love you guys!
Ting, me and Yin... Don't we look like, er, angels? :D
Ting, with me and Steph.. We don't look all that much like twins, do we? *squints at photo* I still can't see it. Lol.
Ting, me, Steph and Sheryll.. Ratio of 15 to 19 year olds = 2:2 :)
Two "twin" REAL sisters (Yin and Ting) and two "twin" er.. cousins. Lol. Hey, this twin thing isn't my fault. It's all other peeps' observations.. Sigh. [Check out the eyebags.. I'm not getting enough sleep! :(]
All the gorgeous teenage girls in the Lim family.. :) Only Sharm's missing. Sobs. Oh well... 3 weeks til D Day. Yay!
Okay.. that's all for now! Bye bye!

So Early In The Morning...
There's so much I want to say, so much to express. But my head just can't find the words. I fall back on whimsical nothingness and long-windedness just to fill in the blanks a little, the empty spaces.
How do I get past this block, this thing that's making me write like a brainless nitwit who didn't even HAVE a brain once upon a time. (I DID have one, Ju. It just dried up.. lol). How do I get back the easy way I used to just tap tap tap away at the keys, and POOF! It became er... nevermind.
I just ate a TimTam with milk. Ahh.. bliss! Aussie chocolate is yummie! And I have no idea what this has to do with this post. Actually I don't even know what this post has to do with this post.
Sigh. Here I go again. Blogging nonsense. THAT, folks, is my forte. Sadly. I wish I were more articulate. Or more concise. David says I'm too long-winded. And I suppose he's right. Much as I hate to admit it.
Although, being concise isn't exactly the best thing to try at 3.20 a.m. It taxes the poor long-winded-ish brain. Which needs sleep. But can't. Coz it's been stimulated by outside factors. Which need not be discussed in this report.
Oh well. Seeing as I can't even write one comprehensive paragraph, I shall quit now. While I'm as ahead as ahead can be. Whatever that means.
Goodnight. Morning.

Black! My Hair's BLACK! *ROFL*
It's been raining a lot lately. And the weather's cooled down loads. Aaahh.. I wish it was like this all year 'round. Okay... maybe not with the rain all the time. But the temperature. Not too hot and not so cold all you want to do is hide under the covers and never get up.
Only problem with rain is - it makes it doggoned hard to wake up in the mornings. Especially at 5.45 a.m, knowing that the next thing you have to do is go to school. [BTW, they say Form 6 = tertiary education (its a diploma level cert), but damned if I don't feel like I'm still in "high school" *shakes head*).
I wonder what 2006 is going to be like. 2005 was like a dream that never happened. I'm hoping for more concrete memories this year. I want to have something where I can look back on and everything is still fresh in my head like it just happened yesterday. Like the memories I have of my childhood years, and MGS life...
Oh YA! You know.. I got caught by the discipline teachers in school for having dyed hair!!! HAHA! You know what's so weird about all this? It's that my has been dyed since last year.. and they're only catching me 3 days into the school year, this year. How absolutely SAD is that, I ask you? And it's really funny - I don't break school rules, as a rule (no pun intended). But when I did finally break one - I broke a BIG one. LOL! I don't know what's wrong with me.
Anyway, so what they initially wanted to do (looking all stern and disapproving) was call up our parents and get the to come pick us up, re-colour our hair black, then send us back to school. Haha! I wish they'd done that. Then I would've had an excuse to skip school again. LOL. Damn.
But you know what? The black my hair is now is MUCH blacker than my actual hair colour. So the irony is that I'm actually still "colouring" my hair! Except that it's now black. Sigh. Apa la...
Oh peeps! Sharm put up this article written by an American about Malaysia, and I liked it a lot, so I'm going to link it HERE. Read it... really gives the whole "Malaysia Boleh" spirit a boost :D Waaay to changing people's perception on us. Wooooooohoooooo!
Anyway, that's it for now. I'm not in the best of crapping moods today, unfortunately. Sigh. I haven't been in awhile. Dumdeedum...
All right. I'll go now. Booooyah!

2006 Already? Oh NO!!!
Haha. When I was 7, I wondered how I would LOOK like at 16 (turned out to be not at all the beautiful, sophisticated lady I imagined at the time.. LOL!). At 16, I wondered what it would BE like to be 18 (a lil better than 16, but still nothing to shout about).
Now at 18 (going on 19..), I don't WANT to know what turning 21 - or even 20 - will be like. LOL. I know, I know.. I'm weird. But I guess it took me 19 years to really appreciate how much fun being a "kid" really is. You can get away with soooo much more.. LOL. Okay. I admit. I'm a lazy pig who doesn't wanna grow up. Haha. Bite me.
Anyway, It's 2.20 a.m. now, and I really should sleep. School tomorrow. Sigh. I'll leave you with one of my favourite songs from Il Divo's latest album, Ancora.
(BTW, it's in French, so I don't have a clue what they're singing... LOL. But I like the music, anyway, so there! Although... Adrien! A lil help in translating, perhaps? :P)
J'irai chercher ton coeur si tu l'emportes ailleurs
Même si dans tes danses d'autres dansent tes heures
J'irai chercher ton âme dans les froids dans les flammes
Je te jetterai des sorts pour que tu m'aimes encore
Pour que tu m'aimes encore
Fallait pas commencer m'attirer me toucher
Fallait pas tant donner moi je sais pas jouer
On me dit qu'aujourd'hui, on me dit que les autres font ainsi
Je ne suis pas les autres
Avant que l'on s'attache, avant que l'on se gâche
Je veux que tu saches
J'irai chercher ton coeur si tu l'emportes ailleurs

Boredomometer
Good Morning.
I feel like writing today. Wooohooo. Although.. Now that I look at the computer, the words have totally flown out of my head. Sigh. Oh woe is me.
Jono and I went to the Aquaria in KLCC yesterday. One word. WOW. All right, so it could've been bigger, but the specimens they had... Mind-boggling! Can you imagine a 2 meter long turtle? Well, you better believe it. It's there!
God, now I know why I Lin is so into diving. It must be amazing to get so close to such awesome creatures. OH! And we saw a huge sand tiger shark!!!! And an excellent example of the symbiotic relationship between the shark and that fish (I forget the name), you know.. the one that sticks to the shark as it swims around... Oh well. But man, do sharks look evil!
I was going through my archives yesterday (due to having nothing much better to do... lol), and I came across some of my.. er.. criteria for Mr. Perfect. Physically, that is (to see it go to my January 2005 archive... :P). And it's good to know that my mind hasn't changed in that aspect. LOL. My mind's been changed about a lot of things lately so... This was a welcome, uh, change.
Anyway. That was the physical bit. Now this is the sort of guy I'd want. Heck, any girl would want. I know I've posted this before, but I guess there's no harm posting it again... witha commentary on each point *grins* Especially since I'm in one of my weird moods now.... LOL. So, here goes..
I dream about a guy...
Who can wrestle with me and let me win (mm... wrestling *grins wickedly*)
Whom I can talk to about anything (now THAT would be the day *shakes head sadly*)
Who laughs at my jokes (lordy... he'd have to have a screwed up sense of humour for that... mm. I LIKE! :P)
Who puts my cold hands in his warm hoodie pockets (now that, folks, is what I call romantic. Hehe.)
Who lets me use his sweatshirt for a pillow (er... only if it's clean.. teehee!)
Who says "I Love You" & means it (okay... this was such a duh one.)
Who will kiss me in the rain, in the sunshine, and in the snow (no comment needed on this one!)
Who calls unexpectedly (you betcha! Surprises are definitely good.)
Who will have many inside jokes with me and remember each one (mmhmm.. this one's got to be one of the top of the list)
Who notices haircuts (or any change in hairstyle, colour.. for that matter)
Who realizes that I say things but don't always mean them (this one's important.. especially for someone who's dating ME :P)
Whom I can go swimming with on hot days (oooh.. *knocks self on head* snap out of it, girlie!)
Who can tell me his problems and let me help (aww *sniffles*)
Who will listen to me talk (haha.. one in a million of a guy, if he can :P)
Who will let me beat him up when I get angry (any guy who can do this is worth it, man! :P)
Who writes love letters to me (I'd have to be really into him, though.. mushy letters of any sort can be a turn off if I'm not totally into him, unfortunately)
Who draws me pictures (even silly little ones will do :D)
Who saves his genuine, big smiles for me (I currently have one smile in mind and .. man! *shakes head to clear it*)
With deep eyes, that can see through faces into depths (now this is where having drownable eyes comes in.. hehe)
Who gives me his t-shirt to change into and not expect to get it back (I should start a collection if he does this... *grins wickedly*)
Who knows my favorite color, song, car, vegetable, perfume, movie... (*sighs*)
Who will shake my dads hand and look my mom in the eye (ah.. the ultimate test.. my dad can be pretty damn intimidating.. lol!)
Who knows my full name--first, middle and last (and pronounces them CORRECTLY :P)
Who will know something is wrong even when I'm trying my best to put on an act (ah... the mother of all mothers!)
Who will kiss me and tell me I'm cute (ya huh.. this'll put him waaaaay up there :P)
Who will let me cry to him (another awww *sniffles*)
Who will hold me & kiss my cheek (*melts*)
Who suprises me and compliments me and plays with my hair (see what I said about surprises? :P)
Who will brag about me to all of his friends (oooh HELL yeah!)
Who's not afraid to give me a great big hug right in front of his mom (totally.. you know you're in if he can do THIS hehe)
Who isn't afraid to hold me in front of his friends and not get embarassed (mmm....)
Who smells like he just stepped out of the shower (haha... nice one)
Who tells me I have a nice laugh and a smile that lights up the room and will simply be mine to hold (how many awws can I put in one post? LOL!)
Who can cook!!! (I suck at it, so... *grins nnocently*) Who respects my beliefs and accepts me for who I am (if he can't do this... bye bye!)
I guess that's it. Waaay too long as it is. That's why I think I've said before... Finding someone who fits all this is.. well. Impossible. Sigh. Oh well. Dreams ARE just that, no? Dreams. Wheeee!
Right. I should stop now.
*ala Sound of Music* Goooodbyyyeeee!
*y'all answer, in perfect harmony, mind* Goooooobyyyeeeee!
Hehe.

Po-ems. Pomes. Po-yems.
Anyway, I created a blog dedicated to my period of mild, if rather productive, insanity:
Dreamland Of My Soul
It's titled after one of the many, many silly little poems I wrote early in the morning... (thus turning me into a zombie in school *grins at Ju Li). Now you know the nonsense I used to do.
Laughter is a good thing, so enjoy! If a big, silly, incredulous grin crosses your face, my deed is done, my mission is accomplished. (And if you for a minute doubt my insanity, read 'em again. You won't. Ever. ;D)
Enjoy! :D

The only teenagers present. From L-R: Amanda and Deb (2nd cousins), Jono, David, me and Fred :)
Me with Batman and his older brother, Ryan :)
Jono and me with Batman Brandon. Isn't he just the cutest? (Er.. I mean, Batman, but heck. You too, Jono.. LOL!)
The uh... People In Black. Hehe. (God, I'm lame!)
Me and my baby, Ethan! The two E's! E.F's! Hehe. He's sooooooo adorable!! (Though, don't ask me what I'm doing to my neck.. I don't know, either.)
My mum and Ryan. Wonder what that cheeky lil fella's thinking... He's a smart one, though. VERY smart.
The Monkey See Monkey Do Club! (Head Monkey, 2nd from left. Heehee!)
Baby Ashley with her "Ani"... The youngest cousin. A girl. FINALLY a GIRL! LOL.
Ah.. that's it for now. I'll wait for the pics from my camera... got some hilarious ones there! :) Til then... Adios!

T'was The Wee Hours Of Christmas Morn...
In the moments it took us to realize that our car had been "hit" (Actually, it was more like "scraped", but it felt like it at the time... lol), the guy had squeezed through the gap between our car and the barrier (knocking a few blocks down in the process) and sped through a red light.
At first we thought he'd been drunk. Then I turn around.. and see blue lights flashing behind our car. And the sound of a horn blasting several times and impatient shouting indicated that it was friggin' police chase... And the policemen were caught behind a line of cars at a red traffic light!
*Note to self* Now, if this was the movies, the police car would've taken the same route as the crazy driver - between the cars and the barrier. They wouldn't have CARED how many cars smashed into each other as a result of trying to avoid both the getaway car AND the police car. BOOOM! BAANG! CRASH! (Er... don't mind me.)
But this wasn't the movies, unfortunately. This was real life. And the Malaysian police are surprisingly thoughtful people. I guess that can be a bad thing (lol), but they waited til the cars in front got the picture and moved aside before TOTALLY speeding off, trying to catch up with that nut.
I hope they caught him. Bloody crazy loon.
One thing though - the police car should've had it's f-in siren on! How the heck are people supposed to move out of the way when they don't KNOW that there's a bloody police chase going on eh? *shakes head in wonder*
And before you think I had too much wine to drink last night (I, unfortunately, didn't have ENOUGH! Muahahaha...*sobs* Sorry.), this really did happen. My dad's car has got the scrapes to prove it. *grins at all family members* Okay, but trust me, even with the existing scrapes, these stand out pretty clearly.
Poor policemen, though. It must've been frustrating, trying to do the right thing, but knowing that your quarry is getting further and further away by the milisecond. I salute them policemen. IMHO, they should be the highest paid people in the country. But that's just my opinion. Anyway, kudos to all policemen... and thank you!
Which brings me to another topic. Now, before y'all think I'm obsessing about Mr. Drownable (as my friends have dubbed him *rolls eyes* lol) again, I'll just tell you that I'm over that. I actually enjoy being "just friends". It totally takes away the pressure... and life is so much more fun that way, don't you think? :) I like this just friends situation.
Whatever else may be said about him, he's a smart kid. A heck of a lot smarter than me, as is apparent right now. LOL. I should've listened to him a loooong time ago.
Anyway. Back to mentioned topic. You know the song, I Need A Hero I posted a couple of months back? Well.. That song's been playing over and over and over and over in my head... and influencing my thoughts. And my problem is, it's fixated on some poor soul in particular to fulfill the role.
Bah. Humbug. (It's Christmas.. it's appropriate to sound like ol' Ebenezer Scrooge... hehe.)
Men in uniform. That's my weakness. *knocks self on head* GET OVER IT, silly girl!
Ah well. MERRY CHRISTMAS again all!
This has probably been the strangest Christmas morning of my life - ever! :)

Birthday Greetings to the King :D
Therefore, I guess it's right to say...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!
I should stop obsessing. It's Christmas, after all. Nothing can be more important than the people you love most in the world, right? No passing thing... Yeah. That's the spirit! Go, Elaine, go! You can beat this thing!
Haha. Well.. Have a wonderful Christmas all! I love you! You know that don't you? :D

Christmas Is Coming!! Whooppeee!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Thanks for a great 2005, for all the good times and the beautiful memories... I guess Jono's right. I DO have a lot to be thankful for!
May God's blessings be upon all of you on this most wonderful time of the year! :D

Random Rubbish
Christmas is 4 days away. Crikey. That's FAST! Dammit. That means there're only 10 days left of 2005. ARGH! I don't want 2006 to come! It would mean... one year closer to growing up. And I don't wanna do that. Lol. Okay, mighty immature of me, but hell. It's a scary thought, all that responsibility.
I actually have no idea why I'm blogging today. I suppose it's coz I have nothing else I wanna do at present. And because I want to stop myself from.. thinking, too much. At this present moment in time, thinking isn't good for me. No sirree. *shakes head vigorously*
This year was weird. I have no idea how it passed so fast. It's all a blur to me.. I can't believe I've done so many things. They all seem like a dream.. like they never really happened. And that's just plain scary.
Can someone tell me why I'm so goddamned fickle? I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. Sigh. I hate it. I hate feeling what I shouldn't be feeling. I hate that it takes over my mind and refuses to leave. I especially hate the fact that it's so bloody trivial. Argh! My problems are pathetically self-inflicted and it isn't at all amusing. Dammit.
Anyway. Enough of this crap. Lol. It's Christmas! I should be happy! Well.. yeah. Sigh. I guess I'll just have to remember my blessings and quit being a selfish prick. Yep. That's it!
Lol. I'm a sad case, no? :)
Oh, btw, do make use of the tagboard ;)

CON: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
And the funny thing is - the two younger actors (who played the part of Edmund and Lucy) far outshone the two older ones (who played Peter and Susan). Honestly, I never imagined Peter would be such a clumsy oaf. The only part where I truly liked him was when he led the Narnian forces into battle. And Susan? She was just annoying.
On the whole, I liked the movie. But I still MUCH prefer the book.
This'll be a short one coz I have to go out right about now. Sigh. I can't believe I missed him. AGAIN! And by just an hour too. *sniffles*
Laaaaa! I wanna talk to him! Why? Me no know. Oh well. Too bad. Sigh.

MeMeMe!
Time to make another random "about me" list. Coz I basically have nothing more fun to do. Yeeehaw! Well. Here goes.
1. I've suddenly become addicted to the Footloose soundtrack. Okay, just these two songs - "Holding Out For A Hero" and "Almost Paradise". The first one's self-explanatory, I think. Me and my fantasies of being swept of my feet. LOL. I just like the second one coz it's appropriately "jiwang", as David likes to call it.
2. Have you heard of Barbara Michaels? She's just been added to my list of favourite authors. Witty romance stuff - MINUS all the icky (and completely unbelievable) declarations of love and the pornographic love scenes. What more could you ask for?
3. I've been having a craving for Dome's Spicy Olio spaghetti lately. I wish I could indulge in it more often. But it's one heck of an expensive craving! *sniffles*
4. This holiday alone I've been to Mid Valley at least once a week. The record is "Wednesday - Sunway Pyramid, Thursday - MV, Friday -SP, Saturday - MV, Sunday - MV, Monday - SP". That was during the first week of the holiday, I think. Or second.
5. I saw Chicken Little TWICE! AND I missed Zorro. Argh! Talk about a waste of money... Why oh why did they have to put ALIENS into a classic fairy tale???
6. My Mandarin pronunciation still leaves a lot to be desired. Let's just say if I got lost in China, I'd probably get arrested for asking for directions.
7. I loathe the idea of being a year closer to becoming 20. When I was 10, I couldn't wait. Now that I only have one year left of being a teen, I can't help but feel that I'm leaving the best years of my life behind. Damn!
8. I can add at least 5 years to the way I look by curling my hair. Cool! (Or not.. depending how you look at it... lol).
9. I've finally found someone who comes thiiiiissss clllooosseee to fulfilling most of the criteria on my list of Mr. Perfect's uh... perfections (can't think of the word.. lol). Sigh. Unfortunately, a couple of very major items cannot be checked, therefore I cannot declare him to be so. Oh well... I guess Mr. Perfect really is a myth, huh?
10. I've fallen in love with the Lord of the Rings all over again. The music overwhelms me and I find myself wishing that it all really did happen, that Elves really did exist once upon a time... I know, I know. I'm a sick kid.
11. I can't listen to jazz music, or even a saxophone solo, without being reminded of someone. It's the remotest of connections, but that mass of silliness in my head I call my brain just HAS to make it and ruin my day. Pah.
12. I worry about my baby cousins all the time. They're such lil darlings, but there's a streak of defiance that I'm worried could turn them into real hooligans and become totally unlikable, once their cuteness wears off and can no longer distract people away from general bad behaviour. I'd really hate to see that happen, coz really. They're absolutely adorable right now. Hard-headedness and all!
13. If Westlife were to have a concert here again, I'd spend any amount of money to go ... and get the best seats at that! Childhood fanaticism dies hard :)
14. I like playing Chinese ballads on the piano. They're melancholic enough. And I can get rid of some of these... weird... emotions. (That's the one of the reasons why I like playing the piano so much, Ting *winks*)
15. I miss MGS. It's only been a year, but it seems so long ago! I was looking through some old pictures that day and I was thinking... If only I had known how precious those days would come to be, I'd have made the most of them when I could. Sigh. Regret is no fun.
16. I love those pinkish roses. Or is the colour peach? I have no clue. But all I know is, they're one of the few kinds of flowers I wouldn't mind receiving. (My favourites are still orchids.. but not as gifts! LOL.)
17. I've been "legal" for a year, and I haven't even set foot in a club. How sad is that?
18. Ju Li is officially more fit than me! I think I shall sprout roots soon and stick to the couch! (I.e. become a permanent couch potato.. lol)
19. I feel like as if 2005 never really happened. I can't believe I was idle for 6 months. That I actually went to Australia and came home. That I'm in a completely different school and environment. It's like, none of it ever happened! Odd, isn't it?
I think that's it. My brain's fried. Cannot think anymore. I blame it on one person. Who doesn't have a clue about what I'm talking about. And if I have my way, they never shall. Muahaha.
Um. Bye!
All I Want For Christmas Is You...
All I Want For Christmas Is You ~ Mariah Carey
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas Is you...
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you...
You baby
I won't ask for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you You...
All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me
Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want him for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is You
All I want for Christmas is you baby [repeat]

Memories..
It's sad, her not having anyone around her age to play with. The nearest one is in Singapore. Everyone here is at least twice her age or older. And she's an only child. I can't even begin to contemplate how boring that must be. I know David used to annoy the hell out of me, but at least he was a good playmate, most of the time. When we weren't fighting, that is :P
Seriously, I don't know what my childhood would've been like without Sharm and Steph spending every single holiday with us.. and Yin and Ting joining is in the "later" years. All the nonsense we used to get up to... Damn. Those were the days.
We were basically fearless. Okay, so they were and I was always the "BE CAREFUL!" or "YOU GUYS CRAZY AH?!" sort. Haha. But you know.. no matter how many times we got caught, we still did the same thing over and over and over and over...
Trademark things, like throwing golfballs over the wall as a ruse to run to the grocery store behind my house to buy junk (my dad forbade junk food of any sort in the house, thus inciting this particular piece of mischief)... Actually we had pretty elaborate system of deception for this one :P
The "put any prospective boyfriend through hell" bit (we still do that a lil, I think :P), the falling mattress game, Blind Man's Buff, "fear factor", discovering The Jetty, pushing Slurpees out windows and breaking window panes... Gosh.
Oh and not forgetting our attempts at being Westlife, creating elaborate games, developing fears of the Cluedo characters Mrs. White and Miss Peacock. Did I mention that we're a bit on the weird side? Heehee.
Those memories have made my life so much richer. It's such a great feeling to sit down and talk about all that stuff... and laugh at how dumb we were. Haha. It's sad that my baby cousin won't have such memories. Sigh.
I doubt I'll ever forget all the good times - and the trouble they got us into :) And even if we don't see as much of each other these days, I don't think that closeness will change. Maybe on the surface, but never deep down.
And for that, I'm grateful! Love you my darling cuzzies!

Old Sizzlers!
Got into an animated little discussion with my cousins yesterday, about the "ideal age difference" between us and guys. As in guys to date. Lol. They insisted that 5 years older was their limit, while I said I wouldn't mind even if he was 10 years older. And I might even stretch it, at that. And of course, the poor dears were horrified *rofl* Although, I don't know why, seeing as I'm Miss Older-Guys-Are-Hot. Lol.
Anyway, speaking of older guys, I thought I'd make a list of really REALLY OLDer guys. Celebs. Who are still hot. Even though they're waaaay older. Too old for even me (hehe), but still hot.
Hm.. let's see.
1. Tony Danza (in Family Law)
2. William Hurt (in Jane Eyre... ooh! Old but sexy all the same)
3. Colin Firth! (Need I say more?)
4. Brad Pitt (The dude's old? Doesn't show!)

10. Charles Shaughnessy (From the Nanny.. thanks Jen!)
11. Johnny Depp (OOOOOHHH! *faints*)
12. Hugh Jackman (This guy's bod is.. MMM!)
13. James Denton (that HOTTIE from Desperate Housewives)
14. Hugh Laurie (Yes yes.. that sarcastic nutter from House. He's oooh!)
15. Chris Noth
16. Bae Yong Jun!!!
17. Josh Lucas (Mr. Blue Eyes!)
18. Vince Vaughn (Don't ask me why.. but I like him!)
19. Jon Bon Jovi
20. Julian McMahon
21. Hugh Grant (In Love Actually and Notting Hill)
22. Richard Marx (Okay, so it's his voice that makes him sexy... LOL)
23. Kevin Bacon
24. David Wenham (Faramir in LOTR)
25. Ewan McGregor
26. Clive Owen
27. Dermot Mulroney (The hottie from My Best Friend's Wedding :P)
28. Owen Wilson (Can act like a complete dolt and still be hot.. now THAT'S something!)
29. LL Cool J (Call me nuts but I think he's yum)
30. Bryan Adams
Thanks that's enough for now.. I'll think up more later. Definitely. You can count on it. Muahaha.
Or don't. If you'd rather not. What talking me? I think I'd better go now. I think this weird crush on someone I shouldn't have a crush is screwing my head around. Sigh.
Toodles y'all!

What I Want For Christmas...
My Christmas Wishlist
1. The third book of the High Druid of Shannara series - Straken, by Terry Brooks. (They haven't come up with the regular books yet. Sobs. The big one is sooooo expensive!)
2. Il Divo's Ancora. Been trying to beg David to buy it but.. Aih. Nevermind.
3. A car. Any car, I don't care. (Except a Kancil.) So I don't have to rely on anyone for transport anymore. But... fat hopes la. Sigh.
4. My own laptop. Then I wouldn't have to wait til I come back to Klang to listen to my playlist, write my rubbish, go online....
5. For Ju Li to come home. Sniffles.
6. An all-expense paid trip to Europe!
7. For all my family to be together.. but unfortunately this Christmas is going to be the smallest ever. Sigh.
8. To have a party for all my various groups of friends.. But I'm so lazy to plan it!!! :(
9. A new wardrobe. Haha. But in that case, someone has to make me fall in love with shopping first.
10. New shoes. My pair of heels is so worn out they look 10 years old. They're actually only 1 1/2.
11. This really hot guy from the south-east of the north-west of the world... :)
12. To meet Gerard Butler, Josh Lucas, Joshua Bell, Elijah Wood, James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley, for the uniformed), or Ethan Embry. Haha! Now, that would be the Christmas present of all Christmas presents. Bar the car, of course *grins wickedly*
13. All six seasons of The Nanny. I'm hooked!
14. A trip to Red Box with the cousins... We haven't been there in a year!
15. An Insanely Sane sleepover. We all need to meet up again.. It's been ages! (Well, since November, anyway.. lol.)
16. The Phantom of the Opera DVD.
17. Did I mention that I want Ju Li to come home? I did? Okay. Oops :P
18. For Vinder to come home!!!! Okay, so that present will have to wait one more month. Sigh.
I guess that's all. Yep. Okay. I'm done.
Maybe Tomorrow
Maybe Tomorrow ~ Westlife
Cant believe its over
That you're leaving
Weren't we meant to be?
Should've sensed the danger
Read the warnings
Right there in front of me
Just stop
Lets start it over
Couldn't I get one more try?
Maybe tomorrow you'll say that you're mine
You'll realize, I could change
I'm gonna show you
I'm in it for life
I'll get you back someday
Maybe tomorrow
I forgot to be there
I was selfish
I can see that now
I should've got to known you
Should've held you
When your tears fell down
Just stop
Don't make me beg you
Tell me that you'll stay the night
Maybe tomorrow you'll say that you're mine
You'll realize, I could change
I'm gonna show you I'm in it for life
I'll get you back someday
I will find a way
Wait a minute
Just hear me out
This time I promise, I'll put you first
Turn around now
Your heart can't let you walk away
I'll do what it takes
Maybe tomorrow you'll say that you're mine
You'll realize, I could change
I'm gonna show you I'm in it for life
I'll get you back someday
Maybe tomorrow
There's so much I wanna say now
I just wanna make a life with you (don't walk away)
There's so much I wanna do now
I just wanna make love to you
Maybe tomorrow
Maybe tomorrow

Family Matters
Anyway, I just got to thinking - I'm lucky. My parents are probably some of the coolest around. In their own ways.
My mum's totally understanding of (almost) everything I do. She knows about all the guys I've ever liked, she's laughed about them with me, knocked my head when I put them on a pedestal.. "Aiyo, you ah... pity the guy la! You better make sure you don't hurt him ah...". Damn, she knows me too well. Me and my "short attention span". I don't think any mother would have been half as tolerant with me and my nonsense. I salute you, ma! *grins*
And my dad? He basically lets us do anything now... Except, of course, if it takes us away from him for longer than 2 days. LOL! He totally can't contemplate that idea. It's touching, but... Hm. Being daddy's lil girl does have its disadvantages sometimes :)
Plus, I have a pretty good relationship with my brother. At least, we talk a heck of a lot more than we fight. Of course, he rarely tells me anything of consequence, but it's still fun when he comes up to me and says, "Hey che, you know ah..." coz I know something really absurd is going to come out of his mouth. Absurd in a completely logical way. If that's possible :) Oh hell. He gets on my nerves, but I can't imagine life without that. It'll be boring.
Bottom line is, I think my family's cool. Not perfect, but at least I have good relationships with all of them. And I'll do anything in my power to make it stay that way.
Wow. From having nothing to write to this.. Phew. Okay. I'll stop.

Pre-dawn Ramblings
Okay. Sorry about that. It's 2 a.m. and I'm a tad bit high. Methinks I've been watching too many romantic movies. They are not good for health. Mainly because the guys in romantic movies are waaaaaaaaay too good to be true. No WAY are they for real.
Seriously, I think the chances of finding a guy who's as thoughtful, sweet, gallant, chivalrous AND masculine as the "heroes" in these movies are... zero to none. Okay, maybe there ARE such men around... but boy, are they hard to come by! (And guys my age? HAH! Don't even DREAM! Lol!)
Sigh. I just realized something. My head is full of versions of how a guy should look and act that I'm afraid I want so much more than a regular guy can give. At least the guys I know now. Tis a sad state of affairs.
"I want a man not a boy who thinks he can" - Spice Girls, Too Much.
That line totally says it all. But - WHERE TO FIND?! Haha. Gah.. Maybe I should lower my expectations. But.. but.. Aih. I see one or two fellas that fit my physical description of the ideal guy (before you Insanely Sane girls go all "whoooo?!" on me, the guy ain't local) BUT of course, there are a 1001 other factors to take into consideration. Sigh. No fair.
And then there's this small matter of me liking someone who's WAAAY off the charts in the "ideal guy" department. As in off the charts in a bad way. He's everything I've always claimed to "not want" in a guy. Language, music, height (lol)... But yet... he's probably the one person who's caused me the most - for lack of a better word - heartache. How SAD is that? And the thing is, I know everyone is right. We're way too different. But still. ARGH!
Hm. Well, I shan't kid myself. My ideas are obviously totally screwed up. Otherwise why am I falling for OPPOSITES, eh? Tsk tsk. Ahhh. If only Mr. Dreamy wasn't all the way on the other side of the world... and I knew I could trust him. But such things... Not good to dwell on.
Aiks. Should've known that this entire post was going to be about guys again. Gah. I'm obsessed.
No I'm NOT!
Yes you ARE!
Okay. I shall take this debate offline. And um.. you guys draw your own conclusions. (Although I'm pretty damn sure you're gonna agree with Voice #2 :P)
Ta!
