Music of Angels...

"The Phantom of the Opera is here... Inside my mind..."

That's what watching the Phantom does to you. You go in expecting to be entertained. You come out with the music stuck in your head. There is no need for conversation, for a "plot". The music speaks in ways that only the heart can understand. Oh yes, the lyrics are beautiful, but what you recall when you come out is the music. The haunting sadness that is the music of the Phantom of the Opera. I have no words to describe what is running through my head right now. The visuals were breathtaking, but all that matters is the melody... That is what stays with you. Powerful.. Overpowering. It isn't something I can explain. All I know is ... I never wanted the music to end.

The funny thing is I've heard accounts of people falling asleep during the show! (Well, maybe there were tired with Christmas celebrations and all.) Even had live performance too (somebody in the audience knew the lyrics).

I heard the songs before, but for some reason, with the storyline, everything made sense and connected ever more strongly in the head.

I'm not surprised actually.. If you're not into musicals, they show'd bore you to tears. It's more than 90% music and singing.
