My Darlin' Cousins...

I was looking through my photo albums yesterday. Argh! Nostalgia! :( I miss my cousins! Haven't seen most of them in AGES. Or if I have recently, it was AFTER ages. Sigh.

Nothing's the same anymore. Oh, we ARE still really close, but growing up sort of drags you apart, whether you want it to or not. We spent most of our time together up til last year, then suddenly everyone had a huge amount of things dumped on their plates, and our meet-ups became even less, and less, and less...

Ach. You know I'm into sentimentalism, but in this case I don't care. I miss all those jokers. Just looking at them pics reminded me of how much fun we used to have together, and how much we've been through.

Carolling (terrorisng older youth leaders lol!), the "paint and thinner" incident, the flying chewing gum and the scissors, various love interests (most of whom were mine *rolls eyes*), the DEDS "singing group", our Westlife craze, sleepovers, TV thieving, the Jetty, the falling mattress ride... Ah. Those were the days!

One thing that really stands out in my mind, though, is how supportive they all were of Sharm, Steph, Dave and I when we were in our singing craze phase. Oh, it was foolishness, but we really took ourselves seriously at the time... And I'm forever grateful to them for not laughing in our faces! :D

Funnily enough, they still support us now. Even though we've come to our senses and don't torture anyone now. Haha. But you know what? I think we coulda been good if we'd had the patience to practise and not stop every 10 minutes to chat for another 2 hours. Ah well.

I guess you could say we're closer than most brothers and sisters, and it's something I'll never give up. Hopefully this taste of separation will help us make sure we don't pass up chances to be together... Because what we have is VERY special, I don't think many other cousins have even half of what we have together.

I'll quit being mushy now, but Sharm, Steph, Yin, Ting, Sheryll, Jono and Fred... Thanks guys! You've been pretty much amazing all these years and you're one part of my life that I will NEVER give up without a fight! Love y'all so so so much!
